Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Textile Merchandiser to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating and managing the production and development of textiles, ensuring high quality, timely delivery, and cost-effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Product Development:** Collaborate with design and production teams to develop new textile products, ensuring they meet quality standards, market trends, and cost objectives.
- Sourcing and Supplier Management:** Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers/vendors for textiles. Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions. Maintain strong relationships and manage communication to ensure timely production and delivery.
- Order Management:** Oversee the end-to-end process of orders, from placement to delivery, ensuring adherence to timelines and quality standards.
- Quality Control:** Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure the delivered products meet the company's quality standards. Conduct inspections and address any quality issues that arise during production.
- Market Analysis:** Keep updated on market trends, competitor activities, and consumer preferences to recommend and implement changes in products or processes as needed.
- Cost Management:** Monitor and manage costs throughout the production process. Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
- Documentation and Reporting:** Maintain accurate records, documentation, and reports related to production, costs, and quality control.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Textile Design, Merchandising, Business, or related field.
- X years of experience in textile merchandising, preferably in [specific industry or niche if applicable].
- Strong understanding of textile production processes and quality control standards.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and any relevant industry-specific software.
