STUDENT CONSULTANT / ADVISER
LOCATION: DHA PHASE 6, LAHORE
As a student consultant / adviser, you will be a vital link between students and educational institutions, providing guidance, information, and support to help students make informed decisions about their educational and career pathways. Your role will involve understanding students' goals, matching them with suitable educational options, and facilitating the application process. You will play a crucial role in helping students achieve their academic and career aspirations.
Key Responsibilities:
Student Advising:
- Engage with students and their families to understand their educational objectives, interests, and aspirations.
- Provide personalized advice and guidance on academic programs, courses, and educational pathways.
- Assist students in identifying the best-fit educational options based on their academic background and goals.
Institution Knowledge:
- Stay up-to-date with information about various educational institutions, programs, admission requirements, and scholarship opportunities.
- Develop a deep understanding of the educational landscape to effectively advise students.
Application Support:
- Guide students through the application process for colleges, universities, and other educational programs.
- Assist in preparing application materials, including essays, recommendation letters, and transcripts.
- Ensure applications are submitted accurately and within deadlines.
Career Counseling:
- Help students align their academic choices with their long-term career aspirations.
- Provide insights into industry trends, job prospects, and potential career pathways associated with different fields of study.
Financial Aid and Scholarships:
- Inform students about available financial aid options, scholarships, grants, and student loan opportunities.
- Assist in identifying funding sources to help students manage their educational expenses.
Relationship Building:
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with educational institutions, admissions officers, and other relevant stakeholders.
- Collaborate with colleagues to stay updated on industry developments and opportunities.
Communication and Follow-Up:
- Maintain regular communication with students through various channels, including in-person meetings, emails, phone calls, and online messaging platforms.
- Addressstudent inquiries promptly and provide accurate information.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain detailed records of student interactions, advising sessions, and application progress.
- Generate reports on student progress and outcomes for internal and external use.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree
- Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Empathy, active listening, and the ability to connect with students from diverse backgrounds.
- Knowledge of educational pathways, institutions, and application processes.
- Organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in using technology, including email, online applications, and collaboration tools.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work under deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a customer-focused approach.
